Updating maven dependencies

Maybe when I build the reps I will do the duplicate but in the mean time I will raise a flag.

Net Beans 6.7 and newer has inbuild support for Maven.

Since I may need to install maven on a few systems downloading it each time won't be a better option for us.

So I am looking forward answer for two questions cd ~/Downloads wget sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/apache-maven sudo mv apache-maven-3.1.1gz /usr/local/apache-maven cd /usr/local/apache-maven sudo tar -xzvf apache-maven-3.1.1gz $ mvn -version Apache Maven 3.3.9 (bb52d8502b132ec0a5a3f4c09453c07478323dc5; 2015-11-10T ) Maven home: /usr/share/maven3 Java version: 1.8.0_66, vendor: Oracle Corporation Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle/jre Default locale: en_GB, platform encoding: UTF-8 OS name: "linux", version: "3.19.0-33-generic", arch: "amd64", family: "unix" I found this guide worked best for Ubuntu 14.04 to upgrade maven to 3.2.1 First, remove the previous mavens of maven, do: wget tar -zxf apache-maven-3.2.2gz /tmp/ ln -s /tmp/apache-maven-3.2.2/bin/mvn /usr/local/bin/mvn I just upgraded on mac and it was pretty easy.

I followed instructions in a book as to how to download and install a Maven project for Eclipse - mvn clean package and mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:eclipse and then create a new Eclipse project from the existing source.

However I now have to update one of the jar files to a newer version for a bug fix, and I don't know how.

Get the maven from https://maven.apache.org/Just add the maven~/bin to the PATH and update the JAVA_HOME.

In Net Beans 6.7 we can search for dependencies in the repositories, add an opened project or use the dependency management features of Maven. In case of previous version, Maven plugin is available in plugin Manager. Some of features of Net Beans are listed below Now, you can see the maven project in Net Beans.Have a look at consumer Banking project Libraries and Test Libraries.Net Beans: Executing '-Dnetbeans.execution=true clean install' Net Beans: JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21 Scanning for projects...------------------------------------------------------------------------ Building consumer Banking task-segment: [clean, install] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [clean:clean] [resources:resources] [WARNING] Using platform encoding (Cp1252 actually) to copy filtered resources, i.e. skip non existing resource Directory C:\MVN\consumer Banking\src\main\resources [compiler:compile] Compiling 2 source files to C:\MVN\consumer Banking\target\classes [resources:test Resources] [WARNING] Using platform encoding (Cp1252 actually) to copy filtered resources, i.e. skip non existing resource Directory C:\MVN\consumer Banking\src\test\resources [compiler:test Compile] Compiling 1 source file to C:\MVN\consumer Banking\target\test-classes [surefire:test] Surefire report directory: C:\MVN\consumer Banking\target\surefire-reports ------------------------------------------------------- T E S T S ------------------------------------------------------- Running com.
